Privacy & Refund Policy — Glance Switch

The short version

Camera frames are processed in memory, never saved, never uploaded. The app only goes online to check your license key and, once a day, to look for app updates (that check sends only the app's version).
No account, no analytics, no cookies beyond a theme preference.
All purchases are final. We do not offer refunds. See Refunds below.

The app: what it sees and what it does with it

Glance Switch uses your Mac's camera to work out which way you're facing. Here is exactly what happens to that data:

Processed on-device. Frames are analyzed by Apple's Vision framework on your Mac. No cloud, no servers.
Never saved or uploaded. Frames live in memory only and are discarded immediately. Nothing is written to disk and nothing is sent anywhere.
Low frame rate. 720p at no more than 15 frames a second — just enough to locate your head and pupils.
Only signal used is head pose and eye position. The app derives yaw, pitch and gaze direction, and nothing else. No faces, no identity, no recordings.
Typing and clicks. To avoid stealing focus while you work, the app asks macOS for the time of your last keystroke and notices mouse clicks to calibrate (learn where a window is). It doesn't read what you type — no key contents, no text, no clipboard — and click positions aren't stored after they're used.
Calibration and settings (screen layout, thresholds) are stored locally on your Mac in app preferences. They never leave it.

Licensing: the app's only network traffic

Glance Switch has no accounts and no analytics. The only network requests the app makes are to our payment provider, Dodo Payments, to:

Activate your license key when you paste it (the key, plus a generated instance ID for this Mac).
Re-check the key about once a week. Being offline never locks you out — the app keeps working without a connection.
Deactivate the key when you move your license to another Mac.

When you buy a license on this website, checkout and payment are handled by Dodo Payments. Your payment details go to them, not to us — we never see or store your card details. Dodo Payments issues your license key on screen and by email. For anything about a payment, email support@glanceswitch.com with your payment ID (it starts with pay_ and is in your receipt).

This website

No analytics, no tracking, no advertising cookies.
One preference, stored in your browser: light/dark theme, kept in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your browser. You can clear it with your browser's "clear site data".

Email

If you email support@glanceswitch.com, we use your address to reply to that request, and for nothing else. We don't add you to any list.

Refunds

All sales are final. Because there is no way to return software or a license key, we do not offer refunds.
